IMF regional head arrives to discuss VAT, energy reforms

QUETTA: A shutter down strike is being observed in Quetta against the target killing of Pakhtuns in Karachi.

The call for strike was made by The Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, which also held protests on Thursday. The party strongly condemned the target killings and alleged that the government has totally failed to control the menace.

With the strike in effect, all shops and business centres were  closed down. Police, FC and ATF troops are patrolling dfferent areas of the city to maintain law and order.

The strike call is being support by the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam and the Awami National Party.
