LAHORE:
Former Law minister Babar Awan on Saturday met Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders to discuss the possible inclusion of PML-Q in the federal cabinet.
The former law minister visited Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at their residence in Lahore and gave them President Asif Ali Zardari’s special message. Both sides have shown a lot of flexibility on the possible means of including PML-Q in the federal cabinet.
Earlier, in a bid to improve relations between the ruling PPP and PML-Q, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani confirmed his attendance at the reception ceremony of Chaudhry Shujaat’s son. Gilani has also reached Lahore to attend the event.
This is all very well but I wonder if the new inclusions will help (as opposed to hinder) the economic reform agenda.
Will this new elite finally abandon their stubborn selfishness and do some good for the country? To start with, will they tax themselves?
PML-Q, quickly join and enjoy the fruits of power and get the NICL case closed aginst Monis Elahi. Who cares about the people,the voters as it is over 40% voters on voters list are bogus votes.
Remember,people are so sick and tired of politicians and the games that they play,the people will come out on streets and demand a change
Just for the sake of Moonis Elahi all this drama. No interest of Pakistan in focus.

This all crop of our politicians, be it chaudhry Shujat, nawaz sharif or the ruling PPP leaders, they all belong to one class of their own – corrupt and selfish of highest order.
Chaudhry Shujat is on record when he once said that his tribe of political followers are deadly against the PPP and that they don’t even attend their (PPP’s) marriages or bereavements. By joining hands with the corrupt ruling party, chaudhry shujat is only committing political suicide. Moonis Elahi is the third generation of zahoor palace. Alas, and what a shame he started his political career with corruption and got involved in the bank of punjab debacle. Chief justice Iftikhar chaudhry should make it sure that corruption of Moonis Elahi in the punjab bank scandle is not sacrificed at the altar of political manouvering of his dad and uncle.
