ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said that on the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari the Ministry of Information is planning to organise various events for social mobilisation of flood victims in Sindh.
Speaking at a meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting, Awan said that Pakistan Television (PTV) will hold a special fundraiser telethon on October 2 in which pledges would be made for helping the flood-stricken people.
