In a news report published on The Express Tribune website on March 20, 2012, it was mistakenly reported that the Indian government had granted clemency to Dr Khalil Chishty — an 80-year-old Pakistani virologist undergoing life imprisonment in Ajmer. It had also been misreported that Chishty had been deported to Pakistan. The error is regretted.
