LAHORE:
Punjab Rangers on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man for allegedly trying to smuggle items from India. However, his accomplices fled, they said. The man was arrested on the Paki-India border. Rangers officials said that they noticed some movement from the Indian side. After an exchange of fire, they arrested one of the men and recovered Indian manufactured liquor, cosmetic items, artificial jewellery and fake Pakistani currency from him. The arrested man has been shifted to an undisclosed location.
