Since its arrival in Afghanistan, Nato has been generally loathed by Pakistanis. The hatred, however, reached new heights when a Nato airstrike on Pakistani check post killed 24 soldiers last year.
With the government blocking Nato supply routes to Afghanistan, and the ensuing freeze in US-Pak ties, Pakistanis protested against Nato’s presence in the region.
Taking the protest online, some local twitter users started a trend #GetLostNATO where people tweeted, calling Nato to end the war and leave the war-torn region.
