Jai ho! Bollywood cheers Obama’s re-election

MUMBAI:

Barack Obama’s re-election as the US President has received three cheers from the Indian film industry. Well-known film personalities like A R Rahman, Anupam Kher and Shekhar Kapur believe that he will bring positive changes.

Obama scored a victory over Republican challenger Mitt Romney. The results were announced on Tuesday.

Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to congratulate him.

  1. A real catastrophe has been averted! His opponent was an extremely shallow, “me-above-all” capitalist who remarked that 47% of electorate comprised just bums wanting to be forever on social welfare, that great industries like the auto industry should be allowed to go belly-up for the sake of the purity of the capitalist system, that all tax breaks should go to the richest class although world’s wealthiest men like Warren Buffett thought that it was outrageous that he was paying lesser income tax (percentage-wise) than his own secretary did, etc., etc..
