Round-up: Yay or Nay!

The recently held Zee Cine Awards saw well-heeled stars walking the red carpet in Mumbai. The Express Tribune brings you a round-up of those who dressed to impress and earned a 10 and those who failed and tanked.

Deepika Padukone

Coming in first is actor Deepika Padukone. This desi diva exuded ethereal grace on the red carpet. Her snow white gown by Indian designer Naeem Khan, beautiful bronze shoulder blades, bronzed skin and gorgeous pout, earn her the top spot on our list.

Esha Gupta

Runner up Esha Gupta looks smashing in this beautiful Dior gown. From her debut in Raaz 3, this glamazon is knocking on all the doors to success. We love her up-do and minimalist accessories.

Mugdha Godse

Ranking third on our list is actor Mugdha Godse. We absolutely adore the delicate flower detailing on her fabulous indigo blue gown. Godse has definitely got a brilliant stylist because she’s been spotted with some killer looks these past few months. Her yummy bronze skin complements the colour well too as she stands confident and tall for her photo.

Sophie Chaudhary

Actor Sophie walked in wearing a Falguni and Shane blue peacock gown. With a beaded belt complementing her voluptuous frame, Sophie charmed the red carpet with her dreamy eyes and million dollar smile.

Payal Rohatgi

Failing to impress is actor Payal who has gone seriously wrong with her Riyaz Gangji outfit. Forget the dress, her hair and make-up struck the wrong chord as well. Velvet, net, embroidery and gota can’t be a good mix when paired like that!

Genelia D’Souza

Let’s call her puffy the vampire slayer. What was she thinking with that unflattering Neeta Lulla dress? The fringe is unkempt and unbecoming on her, and the lack of make-up is just a mystery. Thumbs down!
