LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court, on Wednesday, admitted for regular hearing a petition seeking the disqualification of a Punjab Assembly member Jahanzaib Khan Khichi elected in by-elections from PP-239. Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial fixed Thursday (today) for the petition moved by the losing candidate Imran Khan. The petitioner submitted that Khichi was elected in a recent by-elections from PP-239, a constituency of Vehari tehsil. He said Khichi had defaulted on payment of a Rs12 million bank loan. He requested the court to disqualify Khichi.
