GUJRANWALA:
A newborn was found lying in a garbage dump on Monday.
A passer-by informed the police and the newborn was handed over to the Civil Hospital administration.
Police said Advocate Amir Rashid noticed the baby while he was driving by on a motorcycle.
He said the girl child was wrapped in a polythene bag and seemed ill. He informed the police and took the girl to Civil Hospital, where doctors who treated it said that it was a day old.
They said it had caught cold and skin infection from the garbage.
