HYDERABAD:
Open heart surgeries are being performed at Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad, said Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences vice-chancellor, Prof. Mashoor Alam Shah, while inaugurating the facility on Wednesday.
Prof. Alam said that cardiac surgery was not available to the patients of interior Sindh previously.
Cardiac surgeon Prof. Raheel Hussain has been appointed along with anaesthetists and technicians, he added.
More surgeries are being planned and the cardiac surgery departement will be expanded, he added.
