KARACHI:
A committee has been formed under the leadership of AIG Shahid Hayat in the wake of the attack on Sindh Local Government Minister Owais Muzaffar in Juma Goth.
This committee will investigate the involvement of officials belonging to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) who, according to the minister, diverted the route and placed his life in unnecessary risk.
The committee will submit its report within a week. A spokesperson for the minister said, “We will investigate why officials of the KWSB diverted the minister’s entourage towards the route normally used by extremists”.
