National champion Asim Qureshi clinched the men’s singles title in the Golden Jubilee Panasonic National Table Tennis Championships at the Majid Khan Gymnasium, Islamia Club on Wednesday.
KARACHI: Qureshi defeated his Wapda teammate Saleem Abbas 4-3. Wapda players dominated the championship, while Abbas had a golden run as he won the men’s doubles with Qureshi, mixed doubles with Ayesha Iqbal and team events earlier.
Meanwhile, national women’s champion, Habib HBL’s Shabnam Bilal defeated Raheel Kashif 4-0. She won the final in straight sets 11-5, 11-5, 11-0, 11-4 against her HBL teammate.
