SIALKOT:
All Pakistan Furniture Manufacturers Association urged the government to give relaxation in duty levied on the import of wood. It also urged the government to ensure minimum levy of tax on furniture raw materials in the coming budget in a bid to boost the furniture industry of Pakistan. The top heads of the association pointed that the previous government had decided to establish wood banks and wood working centers to boost the furniture industry, but there was no implementation on the project.
