KARACHI:

It was the first week of Ramazan when an intense heatwave claimed over 1,000 lives in Karachi and as the city ran out of morgues and funeral vans, a handful of youth and founders of the Niyat Foundation came out on to the streets of Karachi to save the city and its people.

However, while the government was busy playing the blame-game, Niyat Foundation’s work did not end there. With high spirits, the youth kept gathering funds to supply basic necessities to the people residing in small, overlooked towns and villages of Karachi.

Here are some pictures of the volunteers enjoying Iftar and celebrating Eidul Fitr at various villages and Dar ul Sukun, home for the abandoned children with disabilities.
