NAB opposes acquittal plea of co-accused in case against Sindh CM

QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Balochistan chapter has filed a reference against the officers of B&R department over corruption charges Rs40.69 million. The accused including executive engineers of B&R department Abdul Rehman, Faizullah and Farooq Tarin in connivance with the contractor Mohammad Bakhsh Shahwani caused a loss of Rs40.69 million to the national exchequer in the construction of Murgha Zakarya Zai to Pishin road project. As per NAB’s investigation, XEN of B&R department through work orders revised the price of a Rs16 million road project to Rs257 million and awarded a contract to Mohammad Bakhsh Shahwani without following the due tender process.
